The Merriest Christmas, 2016.

It was a hard year. It was a good year in many ways, but also a hard one, maybe one of the hardest yet. So when Christmas came around and everything felt magic and blessed, we pulled out the camera and made sure we captured the little in between moments of overwhelming joy. Here’s some of the little snippets from our Christmas together, our first one in this lovely old home..

I hope I never forget the gift of grace that this Christmas was to us. I hope I never forget the fog that settled in and stayed for two days, the magic of coming down the spiral staircase with the boys for our first Christmas morning here, presents being opened before it was even light out, a christmas pup playing with all the paper and string, cinnamon rolls out of the oven with eggs from our hens, movies on the projector, and the overwhelming feeling of love that filled these rooms.

ash parsons I love the projector! it’s been so nice to have something that we intentionally bring out when we choose to enjoy a movie together, and then put it away so it doesn’t interrupt the flow of life.January 2, 2017 – 8:45 am
